A friend forever

As I walk
And as I talk
I saw someone
Along my way
She does walk
Just like me
With a dark shade
Close to me.
I passed the hedge
With a lily
Along me, she moved
With a dark lily
I ran under the tree
Ops! Where is she?
I looked out for her
Has she left?
No way how could she
She is my friend
She may be hiding
Or else fooling around
She never did talk and smile,
How could she?
She is just a shape
Just like me
She never did eat
Nor did drink
She does come till my gate
But leave me alone at nights
She is a great friend
A happy friend
Who walks along me
Under the sunshine.

Hi Susan :)

Very interesting post! Fantastic creativity! A lot of suspense!

Your strange friend will be longer – much, much longer - than you in the morning and evening. Try walking in the morning and evening and see how your friend looks like. During noon your wonderful friend will become shorter than you and try to take shelter under you. I am sure your friend hates darkness inside the house or outside.

I am talking about your shadow. I hope you also meant the same.

Many thanks for the lovely post which made my lazy brain jog a bit.

Have a nice day :)
