Bathed in Starlight

As we add the happiness in life
And so do add the sadness of life
Well balanced, we get sum zero
A zero sum game, so is life

Sometimes we do bask in sunlight
And get involved with its glory
We do feel even worse for the night
Which follows every bright days

But we must admit, even in night
May be a new moon, dark might
There are stars to spot their lights
And make you glow all in dark

Even though you are dipped in dark
Don’t loose any of your little glows
Cause there are millions of tiny stars
To spare you with all of spotlights

This is lovely Susan! The last verse sums up the balance of nature beautifully if we but pay attention. A much enjoyed read.

Hi Susan :)

I have been looking for a starry sky but so far I could not locate it. When ever I up at the sky in the night it was cloudy. You are lucky to get a magnificent view and capture it for me. Beautiful starry sky. This sky reminds of the nursery rhyme;

TWINKLE TWINKLE LITTLE STAR
HOW I WONDER WHAT YOU ARE
UP ABOVE THE WORLD SO HIGH
LIKE THE DIAMOND IN THE SKY.

Although this is a nursery rhyme it is one of my favorite.

Of course, you are giving a valuable lesson to us in your poem. Not to lose hope in times of trials and tribulations when every thing looks dark and frightening we can still shine.

Have a lovely day Susan :)
Joseph

The first part of your poem reminds me of nirvana and perfect balancing. Life really does have a lot of opposites within nature, and living.

You inspire me to write better than before..
Its good to read about the heavenly bodies for a change, rather than the same old news and articles on net.

Thank you for letting me fly without wings for sometime.

The night sky is awesome. At night is when I see the vastness of the universe. It is in the darkness I find peace and hope.
Lovely poem and photograph.

This is beautiful. You are a woman of many talents!

Thanks so much for your interest in the Secret Sneaky Friend feature on my blog. Would you like to be a guest?

If so, please tell me which Tuesday you would like to be a guest on my blog. Enough people have signed up that we will be doing this straight through to December, so if you have a Tuesday birthday or anniversary or other special day coming up this year, it might be fun to do it then. Believe it or not, we're already booked through to the middle of August. So, if you’d like to go sooner rather than way later, please set your date quickly.

Any questions? Feel free to ask! Thanks again! Jill

I liked this very much. I like to stare into a night sky to see if I can spot anything new. When you look into a night sky it gives you the sense of how fast space is. Thank you for coming by.

Wow! Indeed your
'little thoughts' are enchanting. I just thought of sharing a bit of a verse on life:
We never have what we like,
We never like what we have,
Still we live & love & hope
That some day
We get what we love
Or love what we have.
That's Life.

Ooooo what a pleasure to be a part of your thoughts with this poem, Susan. Skies, words, feelings... all gives a magic touch, and a birth for the most delicious post to publish here by someone who is talented as much as yours.
Hope your having a day filled with star brightness:)

PS- Elizabeth organizes a poem festival, on May 11. I just thought maybe you'd be interested in join. Here's her blog:
