Life on steps

I saw some steps rising high
Just a foot beside me
Why not try climb them up?
Yea! It may be a chance

I took my leg forward in joy
Then on to the step I went
The steps went on rising high
As much as I climbed up high

I be careful I sang my mind
But lot more hardships waited
The path of steps narrowed too
Just a sigh could fall me

Pew! At last I reached the end
the end I suppose of the stairs
Alas! My eyebrows are grey
And my legs do shake very way

Oh! I am old old and very old
So long I was on stairs of life
There I see the heaven in front
No! thus were my life a step.

This is a nice post about life, that is so true, you start out in life and before you know it you are elderly.

More than getting old, its the strength which kept her moving forward isn't it.

That makes you think in a whole different dimension... It makes me hurry with what I'm doing, I dont wanna be old, not so soon! gotta a lot to do.

Hi Susan :)

Amazing poem along with a matching photo.

I like the way you portrayed the passing of life or lets say time. When you are young climbing is easy but as you grow older you have so many problems and worries to contend with. I will say my childhood days and my school days were the best period of my life. As I grew older the steps became narrower and climbing became more and more difficult with worries, cares, troubles, money problems, job problems etc.

I am still climbing and will continue to climb till the last day.

I still look forward to heaven as I looked forward to it when I was young because Jesus said HE will take me to heaven when I die. In other words, when I die I will not look forward to heaven because I will be heaven with God.

Many thanks for sharing this wonderful poetry.
Joseph :)
